Case study
In this project case study, I will be sharing my experience designing a logo and website for an African publication about tech products and the founders that built them. The goal was to inspire and empower young African entrepreneurs by bridging the information gap and promoting collaboration and networking. Challenging stereotypes and changing perceptions.
Throughout the design process, I focused on creating a unique logo design as well as an intuitive user interface that would enhance the overall user experience and encourage engagement on the website.

Process
Breaking down the project
The design process for FrontPage involved several key stages. Firstly, I conducted extensive user research to gain insights into the target audience’s preferences, needs and pain points. An analysis on the competitor websites helped identify industry trends and best practices.
Building on strong foundations
Based on this research, I developed user personas and created wireframes to map out the app’s functionality and structure. From there, I created a high-fidelity prototype and conducted usability testing to refine the design and improve the user experience. The final design included features such as a personalised AI image generator based on the story content.
Collaborating with the internal team
Throughout the process, I worked closely with the de-centre community team along side a talented external designer to ensure the website met their requirements and aligned with their requirements and their band identity
Outcome
The final outcome of FrontPage was a user friendly and engaging digital product that exceeded the client’s expectations
Users were able to easily view inspiring stories and reach-out to mentors all within a seamless and intuitive website.
As a result, FrontPage saw an increase in user engagement and loyalty, and the website has become an important part of their overall customer experience.
